A local parish council in Buckinghamshire has successfully enhanced its public safety coverage using an innovative wall mounted CCTV pole supplied by WEC Group, with installation carried out by DSSL Group.

The project presented several infrastructure challenges from the outset. There was no available column in the required location and no nearby fibre connection. Installing a new lighting column and dedicated fibre circuit would have significantly increased project costs for the parish council and risked delaying or even preventing the deployment of vital CCTV coverage.

Instead, the team at DSSL Group implemented a smarter and more cost-effective approach using a WEC wall mounted CCTV pole. The structure provided the necessary mounting height and positioning for a multi sensor camera, allowing the system to deliver full coverage of the target area without the need for additional ground infrastructure.

The installed camera now feeds directly into Buckinghamshire Council’s main control room, operating on the widely used Genetec Security Center platform. This integration ensures the parish council benefits from professional monitoring and seamless connectivity with the wider council security network.
